Andy Ingham (Right hand injured, Right arm injured)
'Andy' is injured all the time. That's about it really. Knee, bicep, pretty much whatever you can name he'll have it or will get it. Joined us in 2007 from Bradshaw and has scored a century already, whilst injured, which is some going, so hopefully he'll continue to do more century making and less getting injured so everyone will be happy.
Liam Kelly (Right hand bat, Right arm rapid)
'Chavo' is one of the up and coming all rounders at Illingworth and produced some great displays in 2006, which included 120* and 86* in the 3rd XI. He is also a devastating bowler, particularly at the tail, where he picks up most of his wickets. It is undecided whether he in fact likes the 'Chavo' nickname, but it's sticking so he should get used to it. Has made a 1st XI Cup appearance, but no league games.
Michael Kettlewell (Right hand bat, Wicketkeeper)
'Ketts' moved from Thackley in 2004 and has settled in well to the club. He made a few appearances as wicketkeeper in the 1st XI in 2004 before moving to the 2nd XI to get more batting time, which has shone through with many half centuries over the past two seasons. Took most of the photographs on this website as well, so thanks to him for that.
David Lawton (Right hand bat, Right arm on the spot everytime)
'Tom' is the oldest of the Lawtons featured on this page, mainly because he's James' dad and Jamie's uncle. Was a rapid bowler back in the day for the 1st XI and holds the record for the most not outs in ICC 1st XI history. Nowadays he helps bring up the young 2nd XI and also comes on to bowl and gets loads of wickets for hardly any runs. Not bad really.
James Lawton (Right hand smasher, "Right, no left, no, what's this hand again?")
'Niall' has been waiting for his chance in the 1st XI for some time and took it when it came in 2006. He scored 436 runs, including two half centuries, and helped find Paul Taylor a regular opening partner. Often takes it to opposition bowlers, often having a strike rate around 90. Comes out with some daft quotes, which you will often see in the 'Quote of the Week' section on this site.
Alex Ledger (Right hand bat, Right arm Monty)
'Ledge' was appointed captain for the majority of the 2006 season after Richard Smith was ruled out through injury and had a very successful one at that. Scored 510 runs @ 34 and also picked up useful wickets. Has been a key member of the 1st XI for some time now and will want to stay there for the forseeable future certainly. Is also a solid rugby player too, so don't mess with him.
Alex Lees (Left hand bat, Right arm leg-spin)
Alex 'Looking Good' Lees joined the club in 2007 after the move from far away Bradshaw and has gone straight into the 2nd XI and 3rd XI with an unbeaten 100 to his name already in the latter. A promising leg-spinner as well, Alex plays for Yorkshire under 14s too so is a hot prospect for the future, even if he does cheat by batting the wrong way round. Always looks good no matter how many he gets.
Simon Lees (Right hand bat, Right arm swing)
'Sleezy' joined Illingworth along with his son Alex at the start of the 2007 season and will look to play helpful roles in whichever team he's picked in, which has been both 1st XI and 2nd XI so far this year where he has already proved useful with his big swing and cutter bowling that do absolutely stupid stuff while in the air on bouncing off the pitch.
Grant Lockley (Right hand bat, Right arm rapid)
'G' returned to the club at the start of the 2007 season after stints at Bradshaw and Barkisland. Used to play for Yorkshire through the junior ranks Grant is still as accurate and has come straight back into the first team. Drives a big choc-off massive van everywhere when he's not having it large in his Clio. Very slow driver so be careful.
Niall Lockley (Right hand bat, Right arm fast medium)
'Lawty' came back to the club where he grew up as a junior in 2008, to rejoin with his father Russell, and his two brothers, Grant and James. Can smack the ball a fair distance and a very useful bowler as well. Only downside, as with many club members, is his hair, although this seems to be getting better as his and James' get more different.
Russell Lockley (Right hand bat, Right arm Craig White)
'Rusty' returned to the club at the same time as Grant after a year or two at Bradshaw. Upon his return to the club he has already found himself make it onto the website after his rendition of the YMCA was captured by an unnamed source. Big hitter down the lower order and Craig White-esque bowler, he is a key member of the 2nd XI.
Sam McAdam (Right, Sam, number 11 again, Right arm fat)
'Tats' owned the fattest bat in the club in 2006, aptly named 'Fatso' and was a committed 3rd XI member and sometimes featured in the 2nd XI. Is a comedy genius at the crease without even trying, you have to see it to believe it. A promising bowler if he sticks to working hard at whichever type of delivery he decides to bowl.
Jamie Moorhouse (Right hand bat, Right arm fast-ish)
'Jammy' is another player who has come up through the junior ranks at Illingworth. A very good swing bowler, Jamie has shown in recent seasons that he also has what it takes with the bat, scoring half century after half century in the 2nd XI and 3rd XI. Has featured in the 1st XI as well on a few occasions, including 4 for 32 against Addingham in 2006.
